DuoMatrix™ Skin Program combines PRP and Non-Crosslinked HA for skin quality care.

Dull, dry, dehydrated skin, or the early signs of fine lines are usually not caused by a single-layer issue. They are often related to both the degradation of collagen in the dermis and the simultaneous loss of moisture in the Extracellular Matrix. DuoMatrix™ Skin Program by Nititham Clinic Designed to care for both dimensions of the skin in the same treatment plan. Book your appointment now via LINE: @nititamclinic

How does the DuoMatrix™ program work?

This program combines two complementary components.

PRP Program: Platelet-Rich Plasma Rejuvenation

Prepared from the patient’s own blood, it undergoes a centrifugation process to obtain platelet-rich plasma. Growth Factors in the platelets are involved in the tissue repair process, Fibroblast function, and the formation of skin components in the dermis.

Clinical evidence of PRP for facial skin rejuvenation shows a positive trend for skin quality and texture. However, results may vary, as the PRP preparation method, platelet concentration, injection technique, and number of treatment sessions across different studies are not yet standardized.

Non-Crosslinked HA Program to replenish moisture and support skin structure

Non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid, unlike typical firm gel fillers, disperses well within the skin. It focuses on water retention and increasing moisture in the deep skin layers, while supporting the Extracellular Matrix environment, which is essential for skin cell function.

Both address three main goals, which include:

Biostimulation

Stimulating the skin's natural repair process from within

Hydration

Replenishes moisture in the deep skin layers

ECM Support

Supports the skin's structural framework

How does the DuoMatrix™ program differ from traditional PRP?

Standard PRP Program

Standard PRP programs primarily focus on using platelet-rich plasma to support repair and stimulate the skin’s collagen production process.

DuoMatrix™ Program

The DuoMatrix™ program incorporates Non-Crosslinked HA into the treatment plan, providing comprehensive three-dimensional care simultaneously. This includes Biostimulation to stimulate internal repair mechanisms, Hydration to add moisture to the deep skin layers, and ECM Support to reinforce the structural framework of skin cells—aspects that a standalone PRP program does not directly address.

The Non-Crosslinked HA in this program is not designed to add volume or reshape the face like traditional dermal fillers. Its primary goal is to improve skin hydration and overall skin quality. For those looking to correct deep wrinkles, augment the chin, plump the lips, or reshape facial contours, the doctor will recommend a more suitable program during the assessment.

What skin concerns is it suitable for?

Dry and dehydrated skin

Skin that feels tight, dry, has trouble holding makeup, or looks dehydrated despite regular use of skincare products.

Dull and tired-looking skin

Skin that looks fatigued, lacks radiance, or has an uneven tone due to accumulated stress, insufficient rest, or age-related decline in skin quality.

Fine lines and loss of elasticity

Fine lines on the cheeks, around the eyes, neck, or back of the hands associated with dryness and loss of elasticity, including skin that is starting to thin or does not bounce back as well as before.

Uneven skin texture and visible pores

In cases where concerns are related to skin quality and diminished collagen structure

Skin requiring care after accumulated exposure to pollution or sunlight

For individuals seeking to care for overall skin quality after experiencing dryness, sensitivity, or deterioration from external factors

Potential observable results of the DuoMatrix™ program

Hydration from Non-Crosslinked HA is usually noticeable more quickly, while the effects of the PRP program related to the collagen production process will gradually develop depending on the body’s response. The skin may gradually show changes in the following areas:

  • Improved skin hydration and plumpness
  • Skin appears smoother and brighter
  • Fine lines appear reduced
  • Improved skin elasticity
  • Overall skin quality appears healthier
  • Skin on the face, around the eyes, neck, or back of the hands is rejuvenated

The PRP program is not an instant filler. The rejuvenation process occurs gradually based on the body’s natural response, whereas hydration from HA may be noticeable sooner than collagen changes.

*Results may vary depending on age, skin condition, lifestyle, PRP quality, treatment technique, and the number of sessions.

DuoMatrix™ Program Treatment Process

Step 1: Skin Assessment

The doctor assesses skin dryness, elasticity, wrinkles, texture, and specific concerns, while also reviewing your health history and current medications.

Step 2: Blood Collection and PRP Preparation

An appropriate amount of blood is drawn and processed through centrifugation to prepare platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

Step 3: Preparation of Non-Crosslinked HA

The doctor selects the appropriate product and dosage suited to the specific area, skin condition, and individual treatment plan.

Step 4: Cleanse and minimize discomfort

The skin is cleansed, and appropriate pain management methods are applied depending on each specific area.

Step 5: Provide personalized treatment

The doctor selects an injection technique tailored to the individual's skin condition and specific treatment area.

Step 6: Post-Treatment Care Instructions

Patients will receive instructions on post-treatment skin care, avoiding heat exposure, and monitoring for any symptoms that require contacting the clinic.

How many DuoMatrix™ treatments are required?

The number of sessions depends on individual skin concerns and goals. The doctor may recommend a series of multiple treatments at appropriate intervals, followed by periodic evaluations to maintain results.

Research data on PRP and PRP combined with HA varies regarding the number of sessions, intervals, and formulations used. Therefore, there is currently no single universal protocol that suits everyone.

Who should avoid the treatment or inform the doctor beforehand?

You should inform the doctor if you have any of the following conditions:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Infection or skin inflammation in the treatment area
  • Platelet or blood clotting disorders
  • Unassessed low platelet count or anemia
Taking anticoagulants or medications that affect platelets
  • Having uncontrolled underlying medical conditions
  • Having a history of allergic reactions to HA product components or anesthetics
  • Currently undergoing cancer treatment or having an immune system disorder
  • Have a history of complications from skin injections.

The doctor will determine whether you can proceed with the treatment or if it should be postponed.

Is the DuoMatrix™ program a filler?

The Non-Crosslinked HA in DuoMatrix™ is not designed to add volume or contour the face like Crosslinked HA fillers. Its primary goal is to enhance hydration and improve overall skin quality.

Individuals seeking to correct deep folds, augment the chin, enhance lips, or reshape facial contours may require other treatments based on a doctor’s assessment.

Can the DuoMatrix™ program treat melasma or acne scars?

The DuoMatrix™ program focuses on skin quality rejuvenation. It is not a primary treatment for melasma, deep acne scars, or fibrotic scars. For individuals with these conditions, a doctor may consider combining it with other treatments. Such as lasers, Microneedling RF, subcision, or medications, chosen based on the type and severity of the condition.

Why is a pre-treatment assessment necessary?

Even though patients may have similar skin concerns, the underlying causes and skin structures can differ. An assessment allows the doctor to determine whether

  • the PRP program is suitable for the patient.
  • What type and amount of HA should be used?
  • Which areas should be treated?
  • How many sessions are required?
  • Should it be done alone or combined with other treatments?
  • Are there any contraindications or risks to be aware of?
